Mommy!Mommy!Mommy! was created by Los Angeles based artist, Diana Hobstetter, to showcase her art series about motherhood, called "The Mother Load" and to provide a resource for those who may be concerned with the role of "The Mother" in our society.

"Having grown up in the post-feminist era of working women -- my own mother worked when I was growing up -- and having been a nanny while living abroad, I assumed I was prepared to be a mother and continue my career as an artist and designer. The reality was that it was a lot harder than I expected to balance the responsibilities of motherhood (especially with a small child) and to sustain my career, particularly as an artist. I reached a crisis point, and out of that came "The Mother Load" series. The balance is easier to find now that my daughter is in school full-time, but from that earlier experience I became interested in what "Motherhood" means in our society today."
